💕Then, I realized that having those thoughts first thing was leading me to days where I’d get hung up on hating being at work, more easily annoyed at train delays, annoying af people in penn station, annoying af people at work, just hating every part of my Monday-Friday, etc etc. ⠀
⠀
✨And even if that may all be true -that I hate waking up at 6am & I hate working for someone else - the days I don’t focus on that are SO much better! Days where I focus on the good first thing are definitely easier, the trains are on time, people are less aggravating 😆🙈, everything goes smoother and more bearable. ⠀

❤️So Now, I try to make sure my first thought is variations of: ⠀
“Today is going to be a great day”⠀
“I’m thankful for another day of life”⠀
“Everyday I’m a step closer to my dreams”⠀
“I love being me”⠀

💘& Then as I hurry to get ready, I feel gratitude for running water, indoor plumbing, for my make up and clothes, I’m thankful for transportation to work, I’m thankful for beautiful weather (& when it’s not I’m still grateful for it)⠀

The Color Wheel of Emotions

💕Today I wanna talk about the color wheel of emotions! 😆⠀

💝 It’s okay if you’re not positive and happy 100% of the time! Trust me, even I get so angry and annoyed and frustrated and upset (especially with ppl in Penn station and on the lirr 🙃!) & it’s okay to be angry - It doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you: ⠀
✨You’re just human.✨⠀

🎨 It’s important to feel all your emotions, every color of the spectrum. Feel them for hours, for a day, and then when it’s time: release. Let them go. Bc holding onto anger or annoyance or sadness is only going to hold you back. When you’re ready, choose to feel better. ⠀

💘Adapting a positive mindset doesn’t mean completely shutting out anger and sadness and annoyance, it just means finding a better way to handle those lower cube emotions. It means still knowing despite the downs that things are always going to be better. The up is right around the corner. ⠀

💕Maybe the anger or sadness was for a reason to push you to make certain changes or cut certain ties! La Rose des Rêves itself was born out of me being unhappy, frustrated, and craving something more! ⠀

💟It’s just about feeling your emotions, but after that, letting them go and trusting you’re still on the right path. You believe in yourself, you believe in your higher purpose, and you know everything will magically be okay. Because it will!⠀

❤️I’m a native New Yorker 🗽 & I have a degree in Graphic Design from SVA 🎨 I currently work as a sports motion graphic designer in my 9-5 life (with a commute that makes it 7am-7pm). ⠀

🌹I like the actual work I do in my 9-5, but the very long commute plus low pay + some difficult people made me so stressed and upset in my daily life; I also started to notice how upset all of my closest friends seemed to be with adult life, and I knew that this couldn’t be what life was all about. I knew there had to be something more. ⠀

❤️ I realized myself + my friends all needed a boost of optimism, so in spring 2018 I decided to make the Positivity Pack and thus La Rose does Rêves was born. ⠀

🌹 My mission is to help others live their best lives by adding daily optimism, hope, self-love, & encouragement into their existence. My wish is for everyone to see magic in the world and for all their dreams to come true 😊⠀⠀

❤️I’m still at my 9-5 (7-7) for financial reasons (for now!😉) but I’m working on changing my mindset, crushing my limiting beliefs, letting go & trusting in the universe, & achieving my dreams of freedom and reaching a wider audience to spread positivity, love, & light ✨⠀⠀

Stay in that "Summer as a Kid" Mindset

🌞Summer is my favorite season (I am a summer baby after all! ♍️) and to me summer always use to equal happiness & freedom. ⠀

🐠As a kid, it always meant freedom from school and homework - but when I look deeper into it, it really meant I was free from living someone else’s idea of life for me. I didn’t have to follow a schedule anymore, I could do whatever I wanted! (Even Little Erica was defiant to societal standards 😆) ⠀

🐬I was able to sleep til whenever I wanted, I was able to play outside all day (I love being outside and nice weather just refreshes my soul) and I could go swimming! (I was actually a competitive swimmer from age 8-18 and I LOVED it, I was pretty good at it too 😜) ⠀

🌟So now, I wonder why is it as adults do we get that magical time of freedom, of rest and relaxation, taken away? How come our younger selves are taught we need rest - but then as adults we’re told rest isn’t for us; we don’t need summer vacation; we need money and to work. Honestly - I think we need summer vacation more now as adults than as kids! 😆⠀

🏝I may not be able to change corporate America’s rules, but I can change my situation. I make sure I rest + recharge as often as I can (even with 40 hour work weeks + 20 hours of commuting). I make sure I utilize the time I do have off to go outside, connect with nature, spend time with people I 💖, and replenish my energy. ⠀

🌟And most importantly, I’m holding onto those magical feelings of summer - of pure happiness and freedom and of being schedule-less. I’m choosing to believe that I had it once, I can have that again. I am worthy of having freedom and happiness and being in charge of my own time. That I can have that not just for summer, but for all the seasons.💖

Thoughts on Manifesting

✨Make a decision, keep the focus, and never waiver from what your heart truly wants. ⠀

💖I first learned about Manifesting a decade ago, and sure here and there I’d be able to make cool things happen (front row tickets the Taylor Swift RED tour being my personal peak 🥰) but it always felt like I couldn’t make the bigger things happen. ⠀


❤️But then last year something started to shift, I was able to manifest true love by letting go. By clearly defining what I wanted, releasing worry and most importantly by genuinely not caring if it came or not. ⠀

🎉Now, I’ve been trying that to implement that same principle, that same chill feeling in other areas of my life and it’s been working! If I did it for love- surely I could do it with finances and career right?! ⠀

💜It’s a really weird contrast - You have to show gratitude but you also have to not care what happens. Put a lot of emotion into feeling how you’d feel when all your dreams come true (celebrate🥳!) , but then don’t feel desperate or needy about it, just be chill 😎⠀

🎉In the past couple months I’ve especially start to see shifts and it’s because I’ve been putting in the dedication daily. I write gratitude lists every morning, I write love letters to money, I meditate every night + envision living the life I want, I pretend my current reality is just a glitch and I’m actually living the life I dream about right now. ⠀

✨I thank the universe & I work with it . I try not to fight it, and just go with the flow. Bad things pop up, but I try to let them go and focus on all the good things and good people in my life. I am dedicated and unwavering in my faith knowing that my success is inevitable - I can’t fail as long as I don’t give up & keep going. ⠀

A Bit About My Journey

💖I started reading oracle cards twelve years ago when I was 16 years old. ⠀

💟Growing up, I was always so fascinated with the idea of psychics & I never knew it was possible ... until one of my friends had a psychic birthday party. Her grandma gave us readings and her mom taught us about Angel Cards and Pendulums. Her grandma told us she started studying when she was around 18 - that anyone could be psychic if they developed their abilities. ⠀
Oh That was it for me, I was hooked.⠀

🔮My best friend gave me my first official Angel deck for my 17th birthday - it was that coral and yellow Archangel deck from Doreen Virtue. & I used it for everything!!! Every time I had questions or was just curious about my future I consulted that deck & was always SO amazed at how accurate it felt and how much it made me feel better.⠀

💜I read every book on intuition and the angels I could - I even eventually took years of intuition development classes & got certified in card reading & automatic writing. ⠀

💟My spiritual journey was never born out of needing to re-evaluate my life or being on a wrong path - I was very much a good girl in every sense of the word (I did great in school + I never drank, smoked, or partied - I still don’t! 😆). ⠀

💡Discovering the light isn’t always found out of being in darkness, sometimes you’re just drawn to the light because that’s your path - that’s what fascinates you.⠀

💖I never ever expected or intended my love for oracle cards and the spiritual world to be a business or my dream career. I just pursued it because that’s what I was passionate about. Because I love card reading and I love discovering new things about the way this world works.⠀

Make Time to Rest!

💛Here’s your reminder to Go easy on yourself! Take time to rest & recharge often. ⠀

☀️So many of us are always so pressured to go-go-go, even on our days off from work we’re expected to run errands and to do 8 bajillion things. We feel pressured that if we don’t accomplish things both short-term & long-term that we’re behind in life. So many people just want to please others or measure up to society’s judgements. ⠀

⭐️But how well are you going to perform if you’re exhausted? Think of yourself like your phone - you can’t be on for it hours straight and only expect a couple hours rest to give you a full charge. ⠀

💛Yes, obviously there are things we need to do and in timely matters, trust me I have 12 hour days Monday-Friday, I super understand! But still even through all of that, you can absolutely squeeze in little moments to take care of yourself. ⠀

☀️Schedule rest time like any other obligation. Even if it’s just for a couple hours on a Sunday, it makes a huge difference in your mental, physical, and emotional health. It resets you and makes you more readily able to go into those non-stop tasks. ⠀

💛Spend time quieting your mind, resting your body, and rejuvenating your essence as often as you can - your soul will thank you for it!

Tips to get into Luxurious Vibes

Make sure you always treat yourself! If there’s something you really, really wanna do - just do it! ⠀

💙I know for most of us, definitely myself, Money is a huge factor. Like yes: what I really wanna do is travel around Europe for months - that would definitely be treating myself 😂 but financiallyyyy obviously I can’t do that - (yet 😉)⠀

💜So the question is: how do you treat yo’self while still staying in what’s financially available to you and while still believing money is an unlimited resource? ⠀

⭐️Little things. If you want a trip to Paris, take yourself out to a fancy French restaurant or a little Parisian themed cafe. Pretend when you’re there that you’re actually in Paris! ⠀

🎉If you wanna treat yourself spa wise and the spa package is a bit out of your budget - go for their cheapest option - or even get just a mani-pedi! Do a face mask and a bubble bath at home & envision you are in a five star spa! This still causes you to send out those luxurious vibes. And remember whatever you send out, comes back to you!⠀

💖If you want designer clothes and handbags - go into that store, look around, and pretend you can easily afford everything! Most designers also have make up lines, so maybe treat yourself to a Chanel Lipstick or nail polish for example, so you can send out the vibes of buying something at Chanel but you’re still only spending around $30! ⠀

💃🏼One of my 😍 dreams was always the Met Gala - but I don’t plan on being an A-list actress/model/fashion designer in this life time lol nor do I have the thousands of dollars/socialite status for a ticket - SO in order to get in those luxury life vibes, last year I bought a ticket to attend their Annual Young Members Party! It was still a fancy party at the Met and yet it cost me the same as going to any Ranger game or concert. So I got to project those vibes of living out my fanciest life dreams. ⠀

❤️So not only will doing all these things put you in high vibe, it’ll align you with the bigger versions of what you really want! ⠀

💎Also, it’s important to always be working on your money mindset! ⠀

🔥I write love letters to money every morning, I meditate on money every night. Reading books is a good one, too! My favorite money one recently was “you are a badass at making money” by Jen sincero!).

⭐️Make sure you always feel good about money going out ! Whenever you spend, know it is coming back to you.

💙Treat yourself in little ways so you can get on the frequency of creating the life that’ll support you treating yourself in big ways! ✨🔥

I sold my cards IRL for the first time!

First time ever selling my decks + journals in real life at the Eyes of Learning Festival today! ⠀
It was definitely kind of scary at first - I didn’t know what to expect. But I knew it was something I needed to do to push myself out of my comfort zone. I wound up selling a few things and meeting some really nice people - so overall, it was definitely good to push myself! & Now next fair, I’ll be less nervous - maybeeee? lolol. No, definitely!


You can do anything just gotta put yourself out there!
